About MOMO-CREATE

MOMO-CREATE is a creative studio led by architectural director Masaki Oki, working across architecture, culture, and art.

Grounded in practical experience in architectural and real estate projects,
the studio engages in architectural consulting, spatial direction, and cultural and art initiatives,
with the aim of creating new spatial value in the contemporary city.

In projects such as real estate development, the revitalization of existing buildings, and adaptive reuse,
we position ourselves between designers and clients, organizing the underlying conditions of each project.
By integrating architectural, business, and cultural perspectives,
we support overall project judgment and decision-making.

In parallel with practice, we also engage in activities as a Speculative Architect
an approach that treats architecture as a form of thought experiment
to question the underlying assumptions of contemporary society and economy.

By taking a step back from the prevailing emphasis on efficiency and rationality,
we explore possible spatial conditions that may emerge from their extension,
and examine them through architectural form.

Through proposing spaces based on alternative values and different temporalities,
we introduce new perspectives into future decisions in architecture and urban development.

MOMO-CREATE moves between architecture as practice and architecture as thought,
seeking to increase the resolution of judgment in the city and the built environment.

Rather than providing immediate answers,
we believe there is value in re-examining the assumptions themselves.
